PSTAT 120A
The dice and cards symbolize the “famous” aspects of probability, and the background displays an illustration of the Weak Law of Large Numbers.

Course Logos
Though I am by no means an expert in graphic design, I do periodically enjoy creating logos for the various courses I have taught. Below are a few of the designs I have created; hover over them for a brief description!
PSTAT 120A
The dice and cards symbolize the “famous” aspects of probability, and the background displays an illustration of the Weak Law of Large Numbers.
PSTAT 120B
The dice symbolize the first part of this course (Probability), and the background depicts an illustration of the Central Limit Theorem as applied to the Gamma Distribution.
PSTAT 100
I feel this one is a bit self-explanatory: there’s data, and there’s science!

Mathematical Formulas
Below is a short compilation of mathematical tools and formulas that might prove useful for Statisticians (though many of the formulas are useful in plenty of other STEM-related fields!)
LaTeX
If you are planning on pursuing any STEM-related field, I highly recommend that you learn LaTeX. LaTeX is a markup language used primarily to generate mathematical documents, and includes extensive support for typesetting equations. Overleaf (which, fun fact, was called “ShareLaTeX” back when I started using it) is an online interface which can be used to generate LaTeX documents without having to download any software on your computer, and also provides a very useful “Learn LaTeX in 30 minutes” guide.
